Its back... The best selling van in Britain has had a makeover and is better than ever. The new styling does seem at first glance to be very boxy, but that does seem to be the current trend at the moment with the new Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter and Fiat Ducato all following the 'design it with a ruler' technique. Inside the cab there has also been a whole redesign and storage seems to be the theme here with the glovebox able to swallo an A4 folder, a 2 litre bottle holder in each door, 4 can holders (2 are integrated into a flip out table on the facia), two storage compartments on the top of the dash and the list keeps going... One of the most notable changes is the dash mounted gear leaver, although it has moved, the gear changes are still as easy and smooth as they ever have been. Linking up to the gear box is a new common rail 2.2 litre diesel engine on the front wheel drive model and a revised 2.4 litre diesel engine on the rear wheel drive models and both are now fitted with disc brakes all round. As for the load space - well its basically the same proving the old addage 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.
