Small Van Range
The small van range is a highly competitive market with lots of manufacturers offering many styles of van ranging from the car-derived van (CVD) to the high-cube vans which are like small panel vans. The CDVs being based on cars (e.g. Fiat Punto or Vauxhall Astravan) are comparatively refined to drive and deliver good fuel consumption but a major limitation being the inability to carry heavy or bulky loads. The high-cube vans offer a similar wheelbase to CDVs but can carry more load in terms of volume and weight. The high-cube van (e.g. Transit Connect and Fiat Doblo) is generally fuel efficient, easy to maneuver and easier to drive than a panel van and most suited to carrying small to medium loads.
